How to start a fire in a fire pit?

You can start a fire pit with wood, lighter fluid, or charcoal. You can also use regular wood as long as it is dry and doesn’t have any nails in it. Or you could use lighter fluid if you don’t want to go through the long process of starting a fire pit with charcoal.

Method 1: With Wood
Find dry, well-dried wood pieces like twigs, branches, and logs. Place the wood in the shape of a teepee over the area where you want the fire pit to be. Stack them at least 12 inches or more high to ensure that they will stay lit for hours. Light one end of the woodpile with a match or lighter and wait for it to catch on fire before placing more pieces of wood on top of it.

Method 2: With Lighter Fluid
Pour some lighter fluid into an empty metal tin or container, and then use a long lighter or matchstick to light it on fire. Scrape out any larger embers from this metal container by using

3) Using charcoal: You can buy charcoal from any grocery store and use your lighter to help light it up
